I have enjoyed creating a modern day take on some of our pop-culture artistic icons, through the lens of greats, like Warhol and Lichtenstein.  Studying those that have come before us brings insight, knowledge and appreciation - not only for the past, but for the insights that they shine into our present day.

I enjoy learning about the Masters, Pop Artists and Contemporary Artists. We all have a voice, a story that we are trying to tell through color.  I once heard a profound answer to "Why do we create art". The answer?  "So that we are not forgotten". When we brandish our pen, we take a frozen snapshot of who we are in that moment  and the world that we live in.  To open another's artwork is to breathe in who they were in that space and allow them to caress our senses through color, texture and light - as they tell us their story.  This is a privelege and an honor as we step into their world. So, we create art - and- if we are lucky - we are not forgotten.
